Hello there,

Your situation seems to be a rather complexing one. If you’re trying to connect a USB-HDMI cable, this will certainly not work due to hardware limitations. So, yes you need a comaptible dock (your manufacturer recommends MediaGear USB-C Hub Docking Station but some other ones might also work)!

However, for this, you need to have the ‘DisplayLink Presenter’ app insatlled on your smartphone (which I think is quite unlikely unless you had downloaded it before your device broke).

If you have the basic knowledge on ADB (Android Debug Bridge), you can manually try loading the application. But again, your broken phone needs to have USB Debugging enabled (which is also very unlikely).

You may try using data extraction software (like Dr.Fone) to recover your important files.

Since your screen isn’t even partially visible and doesn’t register any touch inputs, I think it’s better to seek help from your nearest repair center. Do let us know if you were able to solve your problem, Al.

Hi Wyclif, these commands are actually for interacting with the Git Credential Manager (GCM) and will only work if you’ve installed GCM. For more information, please refer to the GCM manpage on Github.

Comment on How to View and Access Broken Android Screen From PC by Al https://www.technewstoday.com/access-android-broken-screen/#comment-149477 Tue, 08 Aug 2023 19:05:14 +0000 https://www.technewstoday.com/?p=119505#comment-149477 I tried the steps for a screen that is not visible and not responsive to touch based on similar info from another site, but it didn’t work. I used a USB – HDMI cable adapter without a “hub” (used a USB multiport). Does the hub need to be more like one of those docking hubs?

Also, I have seen info that this will not work on a Pixel 5a – can you confirm if this is true?
Thanks

Comment on How to Fix ā€œDestination Host Unreachable Pingā€ Error by Bhishu Acharya https://www.technewstoday.com/fix-destination-host-unreachable-ping/#comment-149148 Sat, 05 Aug 2023 06:59:17 +0000 https://www.technewstoday.com/?p=234578#comment-149148 In reply to Jim Toth.

You’re right, Jim. A lot of users are experiencing a similar problem with HP printers. A good solution would be assigning a static IP address. But there might be other reasons as well. Try the following fixes and let me know if any helps.
1. Power cycle everything (not just your printer but also the router and your PC/MacAir). Especially your router as the “Destination host unreachable” occues when your networking device can’t find the desitnation host (in this case, it’s your printer).
2. Update the HP printer drivers for your model 7164. (Click here to find and download the latest firmware as well as necessary utlities that can help scan and fix your problem automatically.)
3. Assign a Static IP. Here’s the step-by-step process to do it.
4. Update your router’s firmware.
5. Try changing Wi-Fi channel on your router’s settings page.

Neither my PC nor my MacAir can reach the device. Sometimes resetting the network adapter on the printer works, sometimes I need to reset the network connection, sometimes I need to power-down the printer. In my online research, I see a lot of HP printers seem to have the same issue. Have you heard of this?

Comment on 7200 Vs 5400 RPM – Which One is Better? by Bhishu Acharya https://www.technewstoday.com/7200-vs-5400-rpm/#comment-147414 Sat, 22 Jul 2023 16:36:45 +0000 https://www.technewstoday.com/?p=182810#comment-147414 In reply to RK Hallett.

Greetings Mr. Hallett,

5200 & 7200 RPM drives shouldn’t list 6mb/sec as their SATA speeds (probably it’s a typo). If you’re referring to 6gb/s, it still isn’t the actual read/write speed offered by the HDDs. These specs are only the interface’s capabilities and does not directly correlate to the rotational speed/latency that I have mentioned.

Just understand this: “higher the rpm, the faster the access time”. As I have mentioned, 7200 RPM drives offer higher RPM but lower latency. Thus, resulting in faster read/write speeds compared to 5200 RPM drives, despite the same SATA speed you’re referring to.

How do you reconcile that number being the same for both types, to the different speeds and latency you mention?
